Food and Wine Magazine Named This Stafford County Winery One of the Best in Virginia. We Are Not Surprised.

Skip and Cindi Causey planted their roots in Stafford County in 1985 and never left. Forty years later their Potomac Point Winery in the Widewater community is getting national recognition and it is completely deserved.

This is not just a winery. It is a full experience. Set on 23 acres with a Tuscan-inspired ambiance, a full service bistro with delectable cuisine and picturesque views, gold medal winning wines, live music, outdoor movies, fireside sipping, winter wine tents, Sunday brunch, bocce ball, and picnics, there is always something happening here. It is the kind of place that makes you want to stay all afternoon and come back next weekend.

What makes it even better is the family behind it. Skip and Cindi travel the world's wine regions to bring authentic European inspiration back to Stafford. Their daughter Chelsea runs marketing while raising her own family here. And Cindi quietly shows up for this community year-round through organizations like the Fredericksburg Food Bank and an annual Adopt a Family Christmas initiative.

A Fredericksburg Barber Is Cutting Hair for 24 Straight Hours to Change Lives. Here Is Why You Need to Show Up.

On June 1st at 10 AM, Antoine Carey of Faded and Company Barbershop is doing something bold. He and his team are cutting hair for 24 consecutive hours, and the community is invited to be part of it.

The concept is simple and brilliant. Come get a free haircut, a donation to the Faded Foundation, the nonprofit Antoine created to cover tuition for aspiring barbers and stylists who are blocked by cost. Every dollar raised goes directly toward giving someone access to a career and a second chance.

Because for Antoine, this has never just been about haircuts. His own licensure journey began through the Department of Corrections, and that experience shaped everything he has built since. The barbershop. The academy that trains talent to a high standard. The free haircut days at the Fredericksburg Branch Library. And now this.

Come get your haircut. Bring a donation. Show up for your community.

📅 June 1st at 10 AM through June 2nd at 10 AM

📍 Central Rappahannock Regional Library, 1201 Caroline St, Fredericksburg
