Fall festival season runs from mid-September through early November across our part of Virginia, and there is a lot to choose from this year. Whether you want a classic pumpkin patch close to home, a big-name regional festival, or a weekend trip to wine country, here's everything you need to plan your fall, organized by region with dates, hours, admission, and links so you can book ahead.

A note on pricing and dates: most of these events have their 2026 details confirmed and posted, but a handful of the smaller farms had not yet published 2026 pricing at the time this guide was researched. Those are marked below, with the most recent prior-year figures included as a reference point. Always double-check a venue's own website before you go, since hours can shift with the weather.

Widely considered one of the region's biggest and best-known fall festivals, Cox Farms features a giant hayride, a corn maze called the Cornundrum, oversized slides including the Dino Slide, a pumpkin patch, farm animals, and a festival market with food.
