Downtown Fredericksburg's Window Wonderland kicks off this Saturday for its 15th year. Bobby Hebert, known as Quill the Epic Poet of Fredericksburg, has created 54 new Christmas riddles posted in merchants' windows throughout downtown, covering topics from holiday movies and songs to toys and historical figures.

A 15-year partnership between Stafford County Fire and Rescue and Stafford County Public Schools will provide nearly 1,700 winter coats to local students this year through Operation Warm. The donation-driven program has grown dramatically since launching around 2008 with just 30 donated coats from Fairfax County, now distributing close to 2,000 coats annually with every dollar raised going directly toward coat purchases with no administrative fees.

Two Stafford County real estate professionals distributed Thanksgiving meals to 135 families, serving over 540 people through Operation Thanksgiving. Ginger Walker of Coldwell Banker Elite and Sandra Grimes of America's Choice Mortgage raised over $10,000 in just over a week to provide complete meal kits including 135 turkeys totaling 2,700 pounds, along with potatoes, rolls, corn, green beans, stuffing, and other traditional sides.

Stafford County will host its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:55 to 8 p.m. at the George L. Gordon, Jr. Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road. The evening features performances from local school music groups, a holiday market with artisans and crafters, food trucks, and the official tree lighting at 7 p.m. Board of Supervisors Chairman Deuntay Diggs noted the event provides a venue for local artisans, small businesses, and school groups to connect with residents.

Corgi Clay Art Center has opened in Northern Stafford, offering a comprehensive ceramics experience beyond typical paint-your-own pottery venues. Founded by Debra Balestreri, who brings over 30 years of artistic experience and formal training with a BA and MFA in ceramics, the studio empowers students to create pottery from scratch while exploring the physics, chemistry, and techniques behind the craft. The center features classes, workshops, gallery space showcasing local living artists, and artist residencies.
