Fredericksburg is about to get its very own cat cafe and we could not be more excited about it. The Cozy Paws Cat Cafe is planning to open this summer at 410 Amaret Street right here in FXBG. Here is what makes this one extra special:

Anita Crossfield, owner of Anita's Cafe and Dessert Bar, has been named Woman of the Year 2026 by the Fredericksburg Women's Club. For 95 years, this organization has stood for service, leadership, and a deep commitment to community. To be recognized by a group of women who have helped shape generations is no small thing. Anita's name will be placed and displayed at the Dorothy Hart Community Center as a lasting reminder of her impact on this community. She shared these words last week and they say it all. "This recognition is not mine alone. It belongs to this community, to every person who has supported me, believed in me, and walked this journey with me."
