Four Bald Eagles Were Rescued in Stafford County This Week. Here Is What Happened.
Stafford County Animal Control rescued four injured bald eagles this week after reports came in from residents. On Wednesday morning, officers responded to Richmond Highway where a deputy safely recovered a bird found to have an older wing injury. Later that evening, a second call came in from the Doral Court area about another eagle with a leg injury. Both birds were transported to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center in Boyce, Virginia, where veterinarians are evaluating and treating them. It is a good reminder that when neighbors pay attention and make the call, it makes a real difference.
