Starting November 29th, Stafford residents who sign up for the free Shop Small Stafford Digital Passport can unlock exclusive deals at participating local businesses while earning entries to win a $1,000 grand prize or one of two $500 gift cards—all redeemable at their favorite Stafford shop.
"This isn't just about one day of shopping," said Liz Barber, Director of Stafford County Economic Development. "It's about showcasing the incredible variety of businesses that make Stafford unique and empowering residents to keep their dollars working locally."
And those local dollars pack a serious punch. For every dollar spent at a Stafford small business, 68 cents stays in the community—funding jobs, schools, parks, and essential services. With more than 5,000 businesses calling Stafford home, the economic ripple effect of shopping local adds up fast.
How It Works
Shoppers can pre-register now at GoStaffordVA.com/Shop-Small-Stafford to browse participating businesses and preview exclusive November 29th deals. On Small Business Saturday, every check-in at a local shop through the Digital Passport earns an entry to win. The more you shop small, the better your odds.
Local business owners have until November 14th to join the movement. Registration includes listing on the Digital Passport, a free marketing toolkit with social media graphics and promotional materials, and the option to reserve a $10 booth at the Shop Small Market hosted by Long Family Markets on November 29th.
