Opa! The Fredericksburg Greek Festival Returns This Weekend with Food, Music, and 30+ Years of Tradition

For more than 30 years, the Fredericksburg Greek Festival has drawn huge crowds for authentic Greek food, lively music, and celebration. This weekend, the tradition continues at Nativity of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church on Spotswood Furnace Road, and admission is free. Come hungry, because the menu is the real star.

Here is what is waiting for you:

  • Authentic favorites like souvlaki, gyros, pastichio, moussaka, and spanakopita

  • Sweet treats, including loukoumades, baklava sundaes, and homemade Greek pastries

  • Greek beer, wine, and Ouzo for guests 21 and up

  • Guided church tours sharing the history of the Greek Orthodox Church and Greek culture

Festival hours: Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 7, from 12 to 4 p.m.

The Fashion Event of the Year Is Here: LoK Fashion Institute's 13th Annual Student Show Is This Sunday

Get ready to be inspired. This Sunday, June 7, the LoK Fashion Institute and Academy presents its 13th Annual Show at A & B Creative Events Center in Fredericksburg from 3 to 6 p.m. Each student will model their own original creations, brought to life from first sketch to final design. As the academy puts it, come see the magic that happens when students put down their phones and pick up a needle and thread.

Kick Off Summer on the River: Occoquan's RiverFest and Craft Show Is This Weekend

RiverFest and Craft Show returns to historic downtown Occoquan on June 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, and it is the perfect way to kick off the season. Stroll through the work of hundreds of talented artisans from across the region, from fine art to handcrafted woodworking, and meet the makers behind the pieces. Then head down to the water for food, drinks, and live music with unbeatable river views.

Here is what is happening:

  • Conservation Alley with arts, crafts, and sustainably conscious vendors

A New Food Truck Is Rolling into Stafford: Lolli's Cafe Opens June 6th

Get ready for something delicious. Lolli's Cafe, a Stafford County food truck serving up German-inspired burgers, sandwiches, and loaded fries, officially opens June 6th. They are also bringing a brunch menu you will not want to miss, headlined by their famous stuffed waffles. Think bacon, egg, and cheese tucked right inside, or go sweet with strawberry shortcake and Nutella.

A beloved tradition since 1982, the Ashland Strawberry Faire returns this Saturday, June 6, to the tree-lined campus of Randolph-Macon College from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This free, family-friendly event is packed with more than 300 vendors, a free trolley, a Kid Zone, and all the sweet strawberry goodness you can handle. Best of all, it gives back through scholarships and nonprofit initiatives.
