Fredericksburg Just Got $1.25 Million Reasons to Be Proud
Three of our community's most dedicated organizations just received a major investment in the work they do every single day. Micah Ecumenical Ministries, Loisann's Hope House, and Empowerhouse have been awarded funding through the Virginia Housing Trust Fund Homeless Reduction Grant program, bringing more than $1.25 million in housing stability resources to our region. The money will go toward permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing programs, and innovative projects designed to help our most vulnerable neighbors find stability and security. This is the kind of news that reminds us why we love this community so much. 👉 Read the full story here

This Women's History Month, a Stafford County Neighbor Shares the Remarkable Story of Her Mom 🌸
In 1967, Trula Flanagan became the first African American Beauty Consultant at Mary Kay Cosmetics. Then the first African American Sales Director in the company. Then the first Sales Director in the entire state of California. All while raising two daughters, supporting her husband through military service, and pouring into every community she touched. She was a pioneer long before anyone called her one.
This story was written by her daughter, Cherice Taylor, one of our very own Stafford County neighbors, as a tribute to her mom during Women's History Month. And we are so honored to share it.
A Local Recruiter Is About to Tell You Everything the Job Market Has Been Keeping From You 👀
Most job seekers are doing it backwards. Spending hours on applications and tweaking resumes while hiring managers make their decision in the first six seconds. On April 7th from 9AM to 11:30AM, Kirstin Purcell, recruiter and founder of Handshake in Heels, is pulling back the curtain on how hiring actually works at a live workshop in Fredericksburg. This is not generic career advice. This is insider knowledge from someone who has been on the other side of the table for years. Seating is extremely limited with only 5 VIP spots and 15 General Admission tickets available.
👉 Save your seat before it is gone. This one will fill up fast!
