Local Pulse: FXBG Edition

Fredericksburg Main Street is bringing back its popular synthetic ice skating rink, complete with skates included in your ticket. The eco-friendly rink is designed for all ages and abilities, offering the smooth glide of real ice without the melt.

Skate under the glow of Downtown's Christmas Tree and soak in the festive atmosphere right in the heart of historic Fredericksburg. It's the perfect way to create holiday memories with family and friends this season.

D'Amico, founder of Smart Cookies Education Services LLC, wrote the story while her mother was in hospice, turning it into a tribute to childhood magic and lasting love. The book features local treasures including Braehead Farm, Chatham's goldfish pond, and Gari Melchers' Belmont, while teaching virtues like integrity and kindness.

Written during naptimes and early mornings while raising three children, the book is now available at local bookstores including The Book Market FXBG, Tales and Tails Book Café, and Jabberwocky Children's Books and Toys.

Thank you to our local sponsors who help make this newsletter possible 🙏
