Dr. Kimberly Brown-Mason is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, certified Pilates instructor, and founder of Pilates My Way, a boutique reformer Pilates studio opening in Fredericksburg, Virginia at 10827 Courthouse Rd., in May.

After serving more than two decades in the U.S. Army and retiring as a Wounded Warrior, Kimberly later retired from federal civil service due to a traumatic brain injury (TBI) — a life transition that ultimately led her to discover Pilates during one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Through movement, strength, and community, Pilates helped her regain confidence, purpose, and a renewed sense of direction.

Inspired by that experience, Kimberly became a certified Pilates instructor and is now dedicated to helping others improve their health and well-being through movement.

She is also the founder of the Move Forward Pilates Foundation, a newly approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to support disabled U.S. military veterans through Pilates-based wellness programs that help rebuild strength, confidence, and community after service.

Kimberly’s husband, Eric Mason Sr., a retired disabled U.S. Army veteran and Pilates instructor, supports the mission alongside her, helping expand access to wellness programs for veterans and the local community.

Through Pilates My Way and the Move Forward Pilates Foundation, the Mason family is committed to making movement accessible, empowering, and life-changing for the Fredericksburg community and those who have served our country.

“Pilates helped me rediscover my purpose after injury and transition, and now my mission is to help others rebuild strength, confidence, and community through movement.”

Your Strength. Your Movement. Your Way.
