Hey neighbor! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Is it just me, or is summer showing off this weekend? We've got Snead's Farm opening its stand this morning, bourbon and BBQ for a good cause happening today, a morning forage with a real-life expert tomorrow, and the freshest peaches around. We're also celebrating a big milestone for our downtown and a ranch doing beautiful work for our heroes. So much goodness packed into one weekend.

$40 Million Later, Downtown Fredericksburg Is Just Getting Started

๐Ÿ“ธ: Fredericksburg, Virginia Economic Development & Tourism

Take a bow, downtown! Our historic streets just earned a Virginia Main Street Milestone Award, a statewide nod to more than $40 million poured into downtown Fredericksburg since 2013. Virginia's Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Carrie Chenery, did the honors, then laced up for a walking tour with Fredericksburg Main Street's Chris Allen to see the storefronts, projects, and big swings that turned a beloved old downtown into a thriving one.

Behind that number is something no plaque can capture: the business owners, property owners, volunteers, and neighbors who show up, dream big, and keep this place humming.

The best way to celebrate? Go be part of it. Wander downtown, pop into a shop, and see what all the buzz is about. ๐Ÿ’™ Learn more about the work behind it all at Fredericksburg Main Street

Summer Officially Tastes Like Snead's Farm, and It Opens Today

Clear a little room in your fridge, because Snead's Farm kicks off its summer season today, Saturday, June 13! Just a short drive from town, this sustainable family farm has the roadside stand open daily from 9 to 6, and it is loaded. Picture sweet corn, peaches, purple plums, blackberries, raspberries, cherry tomatoes, local honey, blackberry jam, and free-range eggs, the kind of haul that makes summer cooking feel effortless. Want to make a morning of it? Farm visits are open too at just $7 per person (little ones 2 and under are free), and yes, your leashed pup is welcome to tag along. As farmer Emmett Snead puts it, the food he sells you is the same food his family eats.

Swing by and taste summer at its freshest. Find them at 18294 Tidewater Trail, Fredericksburg, and see what's in season at Snead's Farm โ€บ ๐Ÿ‘
