Kick Off Labor Day Weekend at First Friday Downtown
Downtown Fredericksburg celebrates art, culture, and community tomorrow, September 4 from 5 to 9 pm, with extended shopping hours, gallery openings, live music, and pop-up experiences throughout the district. Adults 21 and up can join Sip & Stroll, picking up a drink from a participating restaurant and sipping it while exploring downtown within the marked boundaries, from 5 pm through last call at 8:30.

A Second 7 Brew Could Be Coming to Fredericksburg, This Time at Central Park
A development application has been submitted for a proposed 7 Brew drive-thru coffee shop in the Lowe's parking lot at 1335 Carl D. Silver Parkway in Central Park. The proposal, identified as SPMAJ2603-0067, calls for redeveloping about 0.85 acres into a 510-square-foot drive-thru building with three lanes, plus a 277-square-foot cooler building and related site improvements.
Nothing is final yet, the application is still under review by the City of Fredericksburg.
This would mark the second 7 Brew location planned for the area, following one already in the works at Jarrell Properties' Cowan Station development near U.S. 1 and Cowan Boulevard, where a 510-square-foot building with two drive-through lanes is planned on a 1.17-acre parcel. 7 Brew is a fast-growing national coffee chain with 13 locations already open across Virginia.

Caroline Street has a charming new addition. Luca Bee's Baby Boutique offers curated baby and children's clothing and gifts, from newborn to size 12, from owner Ashlynn VanLandingham, who relocated from Los Angeles and named the shop for her son, Luca.

Dare to Meet the Ghosts of Fredericksburg
Known as one of the most haunted cities in the country, Fredericksburg comes alive after dark on Olde Towne Carriages' Witches, Ghosts, Murder and Mayhem tour, a roughly 60-minute evening ride through downtown's shadows and folklore, from the Woman in White to the Ghost of Fielding Lewis.
