Mattaponi Winery is turning Sunday mornings into something special. Starting April 12th, Sip and Swap Sunday brings a laid-back backyard market vibe to their Spotsylvania property every week. Think plants and cuttings, fresh eggs, baked goods, handmade items, vintage finds, and more -- all while sipping wine in the morning sun. Browse, buy, swap, or just show up and enjoy the atmosphere. Vendors are welcome for just $20 a spot.

Kings Dominion Bars Unaccompanied Minors After "Teen Takeover" Threat on Opening Day
Kings Dominion just kicked off its 2026 season and there's a new rule families should know about. Through April 5th, all guests 17 and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is 21 or older. The policy was put in place in response to a planned "teen takeover" on opening day. Each chaperone can accompany up to five minors and must stay with them throughout the visit. Any minor found without a chaperone will be removed from the park, including season pass holders. Kings Dominion is also working with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office and will have increased law enforcement presence in and around the park through this period.

Strangeways Brewing is Hosting an Adult Easter Egg Hunt This Saturday and It Looks Like a Blast
Easter egg hunts aren't just for kids anymore. Strangeways Brewing in Fredericksburg is hosting an Adult Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday and it sounds like a seriously good time. Registration opens at 5pm and the hunt kicks off at 6pm with 1,000 eggs packed with prizes, including 12 golden eggs hiding some extra special surprises. There are also free photos with the Easter Bunny because why not.
